StepAssist™ contains a spring-loaded mechanism that moves with this bending and straightening action.
The spring assembly is intended to provide mechanical assistance or resistance during part of that movement. The actual effect depends on your leg shape, the brace position, movement and individual strength.
Important: StepAssist™ is not a powered exoskeleton. It cannot replace muscle strength, restore damaged cartilage or guarantee reduced pressure inside the knee joint.

Check your size before ordering
StepAssist™ is advertised as adjustable, but it is not guaranteed to fit every leg.
Supplier-recommended thigh circumference: approximately 34–59 cm.
To check your fit:

Stand comfortably with your leg relaxed.

Locate the top of your kneecap.

Measure around your thigh approximately 10 cm above your kneecap.

Compare your measurement with the stated fit range.

If you are outside the range or near its limits, seek sizing advice before ordering.
A comfortable fit should allow you to bend and straighten your knee without the brace sliding, digging into your skin or restricting circulation.
How to wear StepAssist™

Place the kneecap opening over your kneecap.

Walk a few steps and gently bend your knees to check the fit.
