A little movement. A little comfort. A positive step in your hand-care routine.

Our hands help us connect with the world — from holding a cup and turning a page to preparing meals and enjoying favourite activities.

The Vornyx RehabiBall™ combines a soft-textured massage ball, adjustable hand support and, on selected models, electrically controlled massage and warming functions. It is designed to make gentle hand-care sessions more convenient at home.

Whether you are looking for a relaxing break after everyday activities or exploring ways to complement a therapist-guided hand exercise programme, RehabiBall™ offers a practical starting point.

Designed for comfort. Guided by your needs. Used at your own pace.

What makes RehabiBall™ different?

✋ Textured ball for gentle hand contact

The rounded ball features a textured surface that provides tactile stimulation when held or gently squeezed.

For people with adequate hand control, gentle gripping and releasing may form part of a comfortable hand-movement routine.

🤲 Adjustable glove and wrist support

The black fabric support includes adjustable finger loops and wrist straps to help position the ball during use.

The straps should feel secure without squeezing the fingers or restricting circulation.

⚙️ Choose your preferred version

RehabiBall™ is available in manual and electrically controlled configurations.

The manual version offers a simple hand-held exercise experience, while the powered versions include additional controls for massage and, where supplied, warming.

See the Choose Your Model section below to find the most suitable option.

🔥 Optional warming comfort

Selected powered versions feature a warming function described by the supplier as infrared heating.

Gentle warmth may feel soothing, but it is not a substitute for medical treatment and has not been established to improve nerve recovery, reverse spasticity or heal damaged tissues.

Always check that the temperature feels comfortable. People with reduced sensation should obtain clinical advice before using heat.

🌱 Encourages a consistent hand-care routine

Recovery and physical conditioning often depend on regular, appropriately selected activities.

RehabiBall™ can be considered as an optional comfort accessory alongside prescribed exercises, rather than a replacement for active movement, strengthening, stretching or task-based rehabilitation.

Choose Your Model

Manual Hand Exercise Ball

A non-powered option for people who can voluntarily hold and gently squeeze a ball. Suitable for simple hand-movement practice and tactile stimulation.

Electric Hand Massager — Wrist Support

A powered version with a wrist-support arrangement and wired controller, as illustrated in the supplier photographs. Intended for adjustable massage and optional warming comfort, subject to the functions confirmed for the supplied model.

Electric Hand Massager — Finger Support

A powered version featuring individual finger-support loops and a wired controller. Intended for supported positioning during massage and warming sessions. The device should not be assumed to independently straighten or rehabilitate the fingers.

Important: Model features and included accessories may differ. Please check the selected option before ordering.

A thoughtful approach to hand rehabilitation

Hand recovery after stroke, neurological illness, injury or surgery can require patience and individualised treatment.

A rehabilitation professional may recommend exercises that target:

  • Comfortable joint movement and flexibility.

  • Active finger opening, closing and coordination.

  • Functional tasks such as holding utensils, picking up objects or dressing.

  • Gradual strengthening when appropriate.

  • Managing swelling, stiffness or altered muscle tone.

The goal is meaningful movement, not simply stronger massage.

Mild stretching discomfort may sometimes occur during prescribed rehabilitation. However, sharp pain, increasing spasm, swelling, numbness or worsening function are reasons to stop and seek advice.

If you have a neurological condition, significant hand weakness, a contracture or a recent injury, ask your occupational therapist, physiotherapist or treating clinician whether RehabiBall™ is appropriate for your particular rehabilitation programme.

How to Use

  1. Prepare: Sit comfortably with your forearm supported. Check the ball, glove, cable and controller for damage.

  2. Position: Place the ball in your palm and adjust the finger loops and wrist straps without excessive tension.

  3. Select: For the manual version, practise gentle squeezing and releasing within your comfortable range. For powered versions, connect the correct power supply and select the lowest available setting.

  4. Warm if appropriate: Use the optional heating function only if it is suitable for your skin sensation and medical circumstances.

  5. Observe: Keep the hand visible and check for pain, redness, excessive warmth, tingling or changes in finger colour.

  6. Finish: Switch off the powered device before removing it. Allow the hand to rest and follow any exercise programme prescribed by your therapist.

First use: Begin with a brief, gentle session. Follow the manufacturer's confirmed operating instructions for session duration, settings and cleaning.

Safety First — Please Read

RehabiBall™ is not a substitute for medical assessment, prescribed rehabilitation or professional hand therapy.

Seek clinical advice before use if you have:

  • A history of stroke, brain injury, cerebral palsy or spinal cord injury.

  • Significant muscle spasticity, fixed finger contractures or reduced hand sensation.

  • Recent hand surgery, fracture, tendon injury or joint dislocation.

  • Peripheral neuropathy, impaired circulation or fragile skin.

  • Inflammatory arthritis, painful joint swelling or an unexplained hand problem.

Do not use over open wounds, infected skin, an acutely injured area or a hand with unexplained swelling or severe pain.

Stop immediately if the device causes sharp pain, increasing stiffness or spasm, burns, numbness, skin injury or changes in finger colour.

For powered models, keep the controller and electrical connections dry, use only the approved power supply, and do not use the device while sleeping.

Medical red flag: Sudden new hand weakness or numbness, particularly with facial drooping, speech difficulty or other neurological symptoms, requires emergency assessment. In Australia, call 000.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can RehabiBall™ help after a stroke?

A therapist may consider massage or supported hand activities as part of an individual programme, but there is no product-specific clinical evidence supplied showing that RehabiBall™ restores movement or improves stroke recovery.

Can I use it if my fingers are very stiff or curled?

Do not force the fingers into the loops or attempt to straighten a contracted hand with the device. Seek an occupational therapist's or physiotherapist's assessment first.

Should rehabilitation be painful to work?

No. Some prescribed exercises may produce mild stretching discomfort, but increasing pain is not a sign that the device is working better. Stop if symptoms worsen.

Does the infrared function heal nerves or improve circulation?

The supplier describes a warming function. Its clinical effects have not been independently established for this product, and it should not be marketed as nerve repair or a proven circulation treatment.

Can I use RehabiBall™ every day?

Frequency depends on your hand condition, skin tolerance and selected model. For rehabilitation, follow the schedule recommended by your treating professional.
